A sentimental series of woven works exploring memory, belonging and the experience of carrying pieces of home across distance. Natural materials become emotional archives, holding fragments of landscape, family, ancestry and the places that continue to live within us.

 

 

Imfibinga

These small seeds belong to a landscape I knew long before I knew I would one day leave it. Held within soft, protective fibres, they become fragments of memory, carrying traces of my childhood, culture and a home that continues to live within me.
